Night Shadows

Under the shining moon
A man glances at the city.
Watching all the challenges of life
reminding him
of his wife.

Making him think who killed her
and why?
As he remembers
this he cries.

Then out of nowhere there’s a crime,
leaping into action
to see if he gets his
wife’s murderer
tonight.

Friendship

A friend is a person who is always there,
To put a smile on your face and say I care,
A person who is thoughtful and who will understand
To always be considerate and do all they can,
A friend picks you up when you are down,
To free you from the burden of a frown
To cheer you up when you are feeling sad,
A friend is honest, and always on your side,
To boost your confidence by saying you tried,
Friendship makes one’s life complete,
As you continue to travel down that two-way street.

I want to go with you

As the white crescent moon looks down at us
I wonder
If we solve so many deep riddles,
will the door to paradise open?

Everyone is dreaming
a long nightmare

Someday you’ll get used to it
Like being numb by poison from this place filled with chaos

If you are going, I want to follow
Unraveling the endless mysteries

A Dog 4 Me

As long as I can remember, I have always wanted a puppy. I figured that based on past experience, the certain expectations I had in a dog (small, cute, & fluffy), probably weren’t going to come true even if I got one. But for the longest time, I never stopped hoping.
Sometimes when my dad came home he would ask me to retrieve something he forgot from his old purple truck, like a newspaper or his coffee cup. One time he insisted that I go outside to get something and I found a silver striped kitten waiting on the front seat of his truck as a special gift. So everytime he inquired, “Can you get something?” I prepared to be surprised to find a little gift. I really wanted that dog. It was a dangerous game I played, setting myself up for disappointment. Finally I decided not to get excited: why risk the heartbreak?
One crisp day in May, however, I was watching TV when my dad rushed in through the door and asked me, “Will you get something from the truck? Oh, and when you do, be very careful. It’s small, and fragile, and very delicate.” Sighing, I nodded and strolled to my dad’s truck in my socks. Curious to see what needed so much care, I rose on my tiptoes, and saw a long ball of brown and white fluff through the truck’s dirty windshield. “It couldn’t be,” I thought to myself. Then the fluff sneezed a whimpering baby sneeze! Gaping, I dashed to the door and slowly grasped the handle. A little pug nose, and huge baby green eyes stared at me then began to wag a feathery tail. It was the most beautiful Shih Tzu I had ever seen. He licked my hand with his long pink tongue.
Boy, did my dad surprise me. I feel so lucky to own Taiko, the Shih Tzu. He is my bestest friend, and by far the cutest. I still remember his wide green-brown eyes staring at me for the first time. He’s definitely the greatest buddy ever.
